Privacy Policy

What we collect, and why.

Straightforward and transparent — here's what information Literra may receive and how it is used.

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Literra respects your privacy and aims to collect only the information reasonably necessary to operate the library, process orders, provide access to membership access, and communicate with customers.

Information We May Receive

Depending on how you use Literra, we may receive information that you voluntarily provide to us, including:

How We Use Information

Information you provide may be used to communicate with you, process membership requests, verify payments, provide membership access to collections, respond to support requests, and maintain the normal operation of Literra.

We may also use information you voluntarily provide to improve our collections, website, customer experience, and services.

We do not sell customer information or intentionally share it with advertisers for their own marketing purposes.

Private Community

Literra's private community requires Google sign-in. Firebase Authentication is used to verify your account, and the community profile shown to other signed-in members contains your display name, profile avatar, and optional bio. Your email address is not displayed in the community profile or attached to public community posts.

Community posts, replies, likes, saved posts, profile information, and private content reports may be stored in Firebase/Google Cloud services so Literra can operate the community, prevent abuse, and respond to moderation reports. Posts and replies are plain text; Literra does not accept user-supplied HTML in community content.

Literra also uses Firebase App Check and reCAPTCHA-based anti-abuse controls for protected community actions when configured. Those services may process technical information needed to distinguish legitimate traffic from automated or abusive traffic and are also subject to Google's applicable privacy terms.

Payment Information

Literra currently handles membership requests through its website email form rather than processing card or bank-card payments directly inside the website. This is an intentional early-stage approach: we do not want Literra to collect sensitive payment credentials before we have a payment provider and checkout flow in place with appropriate security controls, transaction handling, and customer-support processes.

For now, the website does not ask you to enter card numbers, CVVs, banking passwords, or other payment credentials into a Literra form. Membership instructions and payment details are discussed directly with Literra after you choose a collection. If you voluntarily send a payment confirmation or transaction reference, it will be used only to verify that order.

Email & Third-Party Services

Literra uses website forms for customer communication and order handling. Submitted messages are sent through EmailJS for email delivery, in addition to any handling by Literra.

Membership access may be delivered through Google Drive or another third-party digital storage or delivery service. Use of those services may also be subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.

Data Sharing

Literra does not sell your personal information.

Information may be shared with service providers when reasonably necessary to operate the service, communicate with customers, process or verify a membership request, or provide digital content included with membership.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.

Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was provided, including maintaining order records, resolving disputes, providing customer support, and meeting applicable obligations.

Information that is no longer reasonably required may be deleted or otherwise disposed of where appropriate.

Your Choices

You are not required to provide information that Literra does not need for a particular interaction. However, choosing not to provide certain information may prevent us from processing an order, verifying a payment, providing access, or responding to a request.

If you have questions about information associated with an order or communication, you can contact us directly.

Security

Literra takes reasonable measures to protect information received through its website and customer communications.

However, no website, online communication service, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should avoid sending sensitive credentials such as banking passwords, account passwords, or card security codes to Literra.

Changes to This Policy

Literra may update this Privacy Policy when our services, communication methods, or data practices change.

The latest version will be published on this page, together with the date on which it was last updated.
